Father, son injured in east San Antonio shooting
Victims sitting in car on South New Braunfels when suspect approached, opened fire
San Antonio police are investigating a possible drive-by shooting that occurred Wednesday night on the city's East Side.
Police said the shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. near in the intersection of South New Braunfels and Aransas Avenue.
According to investigators, a father and son were sitting in a car when the suspected shooter approached them and opened fire.
The son was badly injured and was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Investigators said he was shot in the shoulder and in the leg.
The father was grazed by a bullet in the face and was expected to recover, investigators said. Their names or ages have not been released.
Police did not have any suspects in custody as of 10 p.m. Wednesday and are still trying to determine a motive.
