Fire crews battle intense flames at apartments on Windsor Oak, garage on Delgado Street
Cause of fires unknown, no injuries reported
Area firefighters were busy early Thursday morning battling an apartment and a garage fire.
The first fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 7300 block of Windsor Oak.
Crews from four area departments including Kirby, Converse, Camelot and Windcrest battled intense flames for nearly an hour.
Fire officials said four apartment units were damaged. A cause was unknown early Thursday and there were no immediate reports of injuries.
Another fire broke out at a detached garage around 4:30 a.m. at a home in the 900 block of Delgado Street northwest of downtown.
San Antonio fire officials said five or six people in the main house were evacuated as a precaution. Firefighters said the garage was heavily damaged.
No injuries were reported. The arson unit was called to investigate the cause.
