Firefighters battled a two alarm fire at a Northwest Side home under construction late Monday night.
Fire crews were called to the 6000 block of Wampum Street off Callaghan Road around 11 p.m.
Firefighters arrived to heavy flames and smoke, and neighbors on each side of the house had to be evacuated.
Fire officials say it took them about an hour to finally able to put out the blaze.
The cause of fire remained under investigation early Tuesday morning. No one was living in the home at the time, but the utilities were connected. Damage estimates were unknown.
