A fire damaged a home on the South Side on Sunday afternoon. Fire crews were called to the 1100 block of Dupont around 5:30 p.m.

The homeowner says the fire started in her son's bedroom after he turned the light on. She say his bed "burst into flames" and the fire spread to the rest of the room.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the bedroom, but it was heavily damaged. No injuries were reported. A cause was unknown Sunday evening.
