Robeson Yucca fire
SAN ANTONIO -

San Antonio firefighters battled another suspicious fire on the East Side late Monday night, the seventh reported fire in the area.

Shortly after 9:30 pm Monday, several calls were made to 911 to report a fire at a vacant home on Yucca Street at Robeson.

Fire crews believe the fire started in the front of the home and spread to the attic causing roughly $30,000 in damages.

The house was vacant and no one was inside. No injuries were reported.

Arson investigators were called to the scene on Yucca to determine whether the fire was intentionally set.

The fire was the latest in a series of suspicious fires reported on the East Side.

Last Tuesday night, a vacant house caught fire on the 200 block of Cooper Street.

A short time later, firefighters responded to a fire at a building on the 500 block of Meerscheidt Street.

Firefighters believe that blaze was intentionally set in more than one place.

Fire crews say any connection between the series of fires remains under investigation.
