A fast-moving fire caused significant damage to a North Side home early Thursday morning.
San Antonio firefighters were called to the 800 block of Serenade Drive just before 5 a.m.
The homeowner said he smelled smoke, got up and noticed flames in the garage area.
The homeowner got himself, wife, son and dog out safely before flames spread and engulfed the home.
Fire crews battled the blaze for about an hour and a half before finally putting it out.
A cause of the fire and damage estimates were unknown as of 7 a.m. Thursday. No injuries were reported.
