A former Spur has been arrested in Kentucky, authorities there report.
Rod Strickland is facing charges of driving with a suspended license, failure to signal and having no vehicle registration.
Strickland, who is now a special assistant to the University of Kentucky, played for the Spurs from 1989 to 1992.
The university said in a statement that Strickland was pulled over while driving to work and is looking into the possibility that there was a clerical error regarding the license.
Back in 2010, the 45-year-old pleaded guilty to a DUI charge. His license was suspended for 12 months.
He has since been released on bond.
