SAN ANTONIO -

Heavy rain hit the San Antonio area late Friday night into Saturday morning, but showers were expected to decrease for the rest of the weekend.

KSAT Meteorologist Justin Horne says scattered showers were still expected for the San Antonio area throughout the day Saturday, but the heavy rain many anticipated has moved east.

San Antonio received about 2.7 inches of rain while some outlying areas such as Uvalde and Pleasanton received 3 to 5 inches.

The National Weather Service reports scattered storms and showers in the forecast for Saturday with a high around 82 and a low of 66.

A flash flood watch remained in effect for several South-Central Texas counties through Saturday evening.
