Roof built for family's new home

LEOGANE, Haiti -

They have been in earthquake limbo. Tents stand in the place where their home used to, waiting for a new home and an escape from a temporary lifestyle they feared would become permanent.

The Cimilien family have been living in tents for 3 years.

The driving force behind San Antonians donating thousands of dollars was to get them into a permanent home.

On our first full day in Haiti, I and three other men, started building a roof along with Haitian workers - the final piece in transitioning this family of 15 out of tents.

A great grandmother, to little nieces and nephews will call what we’ve dubbed “San Antonio House,” home.
