Homeless man attacked, stabbed in neck behind San Antonio library

Victim stumbled to Valero to call for help

SAN ANTONIO -

A homeless man said he was attacked behind a north San Antonio library and stabbed in the neck.

The alleged attack was reported around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday at San Pedro Park.

The victim told San Antonio police he was attacked behind the San Pedro Branch Library, and managed to walk to a Valero to call for help.

Paramedics responded to treat the man, but police did not say how badly he was injured. An arrest had not been made as of 11 p.m. Tuesday.
