Houston-area man accused of online terror threat
Suburban Houston man jailed and facing charges after threatening elementary school shootings
HOUSTON (AP) — A 19-year-old suburban Houston man is jailed on charges of making a felony terrorist threat after posting online messages about shooting children at an elementary school.
Court documents examined by the Houston Chronicle show Patrick Joseph Hudson wrote in an online forum about "killing a bunch of little kids" and then killing himself. FBI agents were told about the posting in a tip from North Carolina and traced it back to Hudson's home in Katy, just west of Houston.
The posting also asked for advice about streaming the killings live.
Records show Hudson acknowledged the postings to investigators who arrested and charged him Tuesday but that he insisted they were made in jest.
