A 90-year-old woman in a wheelchair told San Antonio police Ignacio Betancour, 55, attacked her and grabbed her neck during an argument last month.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that the victim called police Sept. 20, shortly after the incident.

She told officers Betancour went on the attack after she intervened when she saw him touching her granddaughter inappropriately, the affidavit stated.

The wheelchair bound woman told police Betancour grabbed her by her neck, leaving her in pain.

The affidavit stated that Betancour left the scene, but San Antonio police found him and arrested him Tuesday. He is charged with injury to the elderly.
