A 1-month-old child was admitted into an area hospital Monday morning with serious injuries that police call suspicious.
Investigators have released few details, but say the baby is being treated at Christus-Santa Rosa Hospital for multiple fractures to both sides of the rib cage and a fractured shin bone.
San Antonio police said the infant's parents were taken in for questioning early Monday morning.
As of noon, no charges had been filed.
Child Protective Services has been notified about the child's injuries, and they said they are looking into who hurt the baby.
CPS said it is still too early to determine whether the infant will be released to his parents when he leaves the hospital.
