A three-month investigation has ended with capital murder charges against the father of a baby marshals say was beaten to death.
Ingram marshals say the six-week old baby girl died at Kerrville hospital in September, and an investigation showed she suffered severe head trauma.
The Ingram marshal's office and Kerr County Sheriff's Department arrested the baby's father, 17 year-old Jakob Dalton Pennington Wednesday and charged him with capital murder.
They say a medical examiner and an expert on child abuse investigated the baby's death and the injuries she suffered.
A grand jury indicted Pennington on Monday.
He was being held in the Kerr County jail on $200,000 bond for that capital murder charge.
