Terrell Hills father Jordan Sinclair, 29, is accused of leaving his 4-year-old son with bruises and welts all along his backside.
An arrest warrant affidavit stated that a teacher at his son’s daycare alerted Child Protective Services after noticing the bruises on an area that stretched from the boy’s back to his thighs.
The affidavit stated that the woman was helping the child clean up after a bathroom accident.
The teacher said she asked the boy about what happened, but he told her, “Nothing,” in a defensive manner, the affidavit stated.
The woman was able to take pictures, however, which she showed to a case worker with CPS.
The affidavit stated that Sinclair admitted to a CPS investigator that he had hit his son too hard.
But he said he felt the punishment was appropriate, and that he had to be effective in disciplining the child, the affidavit stated.
Terrell Hills police became involved in the case Monday and arrested Sinclair the following day on a charge of injury to a child.
