SAN ANTONIO -

A third suspect identified as 29-year-old Jose Velez was arrested in connection with the beating death of a man outside a convenience store last month.

The victim, Juan Romero, 41, was beat to death outside the Diamond Food Mart in the 2300 block of Vance Jackson Road on Oct. 15.

Two other men, Larry Castro, 41, and Bernardo Crisanto, 25, have already been arrested in connection with Romero's slaying.

The fatal beating stemmed from an alleged debt Castro owed Romero over a lost game of pool.
