SAN ANTONIO -

The Judson Independent School District's board president has been indicted on misdemeanor campaign violation charges.

A Bexar County grand jury indicted June Adair on two counts related to cash contributions. Adair faces trial Aug. 17, and said Monday she will not resign,

Prosecutors say one count involves accepting campaign donations above the $100 limit from an individual during a given reporting period. Adair also allegedly failed to maintain a separate account for campaign contributions.

If convicted, Adair faces up to $6,000 in fines and 18 months in state jail.

Adair in May 2011 won a third term, then last November was chosen president by fellow board members.
