SAN ANTONIO -

A 15-year-old girl was killed and three other teens injured when their van was struck broadside by a truck that had run a red light on July 26, 2009.

Prosecutors say Hector Gramajo was driving drunk when his truck slammed into the teen’s vehicle.

His blood alcohol level was .11 more than two hours after the accident, according to testimony in Gramajo’s trial that began earlier this week. And there was a trace of cocaine in his system.

Andrea Blanco, 15, died in the hospital several hours after the wreck.

Her step-sister was also injured.

Gramajo is on trial for intoxication manslaughter, intoxication assault and aggravated assault.

If he is convicted Gramajo is facing a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
