Macarthur Eaglin, 46, a Bexar County juvenile detention officer, is accused of crossing the line and flirting with a 16-year-old girl in custody.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that the girl at first went to her parents with the claim, saying that Eaglin constantly asked for her phone number and address, and
made hand gestures suggesting that he had money to offer her.

She said it happened on April 1 when Eaglin and another officer escorted her from the juvenile detention center to the court house for an appearance before a judge, the affidavit stated.

Bexar County sheriff’s detectives later investigated and said they found surveillance video of the holding area where the incident allegedly happened.

They said the video shows Eaglin communicating with the girl and making hand gestures, the affidavit stated.

Detectives said, during questioning, Eaglin admitted to asking for the teen’s phone number, the affidavit stated.

They said Eaglin also told them he had asked for phone numbers from other juvenile inmates in the past but never actually called any of them, the affidavit stated.

Eaglin was arrested Monday on a charge of official oppression.
