Los Valles Produce booth on the South Side received 60 demerits during its latest inspection from San Antonio Metro Health.
KSAT's Behind the Kitchen Door found Los Valles also acts as a restaurant. The health inspector noted several violations including:
- Buckets of sanitizing solutions were filthy.
- Employee's personal items were stored improperly, including a purse hanging over shelf next to fruit cutting station.
- Waste water from a utensil and dish washing area was entering the walk-in cooler.
- A stock pot was being washed in a dolly hand truck on the floor.
Los Valles Produce was given 48 hours to make corrections. KSAT's Behind the Kitchen Door has not received an update on whether those violations were corrected.
