A man robbed La Fonda restaurant in the 2300 block of North Main late Tuesday night.

Police said the man dressed in black walked into the back of the restaurant at around 11 p.m. and pulled out a gun on two employees.

The employees were forced to open a safe in the office. The bandit took $500 and got away on foot.

No injuries were reported.
