Lightning strike being blamed for early morning fire

Damage estimated at $80,000

SAN ANTONIO -

Investigators say a lightning strike sparked a blaze at home in Leon Valley.

It happened about 3 a.m. Sunday in the 5200 block of Savory Glen.

Crews from Leon Valley, Helotes, Balcones Heights and Shavano Park worked to fight that fire.

The second floor of the home sustained heavy damage.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

The damage is estimated at $80,000.
