Man accused of attacking, stealing purse from woman outside H-E-B

A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the robbery of a 77-year-old woman's purse outside an East Side H-E-B.

An arrest affidavit stated David Lee Torres attacked and stole the woman's purse as she walked out of the H-E-B on South WW White on Feb. 7.

The affidavit stated Torres was seen on surveillance video following the victim out of the store just before the assault.

Torres went out of the frame for a few seconds, but was spotted running from the H-E-B.

The affidavit stated the victim suffered significant bruising on her forearm after the attack.

Torres was pointed out of a police lineup and charged with aggravated robbery, the affidavit stated.
