Man accused of stealing 8 guns, cash from homeowner friend
Jason Wilson told police he sold weapons to gun shop
Jason Wilson, 20, is accused of stealing a stash of guns from the home of a friend and selling the weapons to a North Side gun shop.
Police arrested Wilson Sunday on a charge of theft of two or more guns.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the gun owner filed a report with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office last Thursday.
In it, he claimed he was missing six rifles, one shotgun and one handgun, along with $500 in cash, the affidavit stated.
The man also told detectives he believed Wilson, a friend of his daughter, had taken the weapons when he was left alone in their home Jan. 7, the affidavit stated.
Sheriff’s investigators said the suspect later told them he had sold some of the weapons at Nagel’s Gun Shop, the affidavit stated.
On Saturday, detectives recovered two of the rifles from the gun shop as well as a purchase ticket signed by Wilson, the affidavit stated.
