Man armed with crowbar robs clerk at Rodeway Inn

A man armed with a crowbar threatened and robbed a clerk at the Rodeway Inn on North Main Avenue late Tuesday night.

Police were called to the hotel north of downtown just after 11 p.m. The clerk told police a man in his 20s walked into the lobby, threatened her and demanded cash.

She said she gave the cash drawer to the suspect and he fled on foot. San Antonio police have not said how much cash was stolen.

The clerk gave police a description of the suspect. An arrest had not been made as 7:30 a.m.
