Man arrested after leading police on a wild chase
Suspect tased and falls into manhole
A man was arrested early Saturday morning after leading officers on a wild chase.
It started around 1:30 a.m. after an officer made a traffic stop off of Highway 151.
After the driver was stopped, he was given a field sobriety test and failed.
As he was being handcuffed, he ran back to his car and took off.
The chase continued for about a mile until the driver went through a grassy field and crashed into a fire hydrant.
After the accident, he got out of the car and took off running. He was tased, but did not stop running.
He was finally arrested after he fell in a construction hole near 151 and Ingram Road.
He was charged with DWI and evading arrest in a vehicle and on foot.
