Man beats couple with pipe near downtown San Antonio
San Antonio police: Suspect was being taunted by husband, broke man's leg with pipe
A man was arrested early Wednesday morning for allegedly beating a husband and wife with a pipe near downtown San Antonio.
Police were called to the scene around 1 a.m. Wednesday on West Martin and North San Saba.
Officers said the husband was walking around the area and taunting several people.
He then began to taunt the suspect and he and his were wife beaten with the pipe.
The suspect broke the husband's leg and cut the back of his wife's head.
The suspect fled the scene but was arrested a short time later.
Police said he would be charged with aggravated assault. His name has not been released. The couple was expected to recover.
