A man identified as 47-year-old David Hutchins died Wednesday afternoon after he fell through a skylight at Bertrand's Inc., a frozen foods company on the Northeast Side.

A manager said Hutchins was on top of the building with another man inspecting a newly installed roof, when he possibly slipped and fell through a skylight.

San Antonio firefighters arrived on scene at 3 p.m. while CPR was in progress, but Hutchins was pronounced dead a short time later. Police did not say how many stories Hutchins fell.
