A man is facing his 6th DWI charge after leading San Antonio police on a chase and early Sunday morning. 

Police say the chase began around 1:30 a.m when officer spotted the man speeding through five red lights on the South Side.

Police say he crashed into a curb at Pleasanton Road and SW Military Drive, then tried to get away by backing his truck into an SAPD patrol car.

Officers arrested him and charged the man with DWI, and ticketed for not having a valid driver's license. Police said the suspect has five prior DWI arrests.
