Man hit by car on Austin Highway

Pedestrian suffers broken arm, taken to SAMMC

SAN ANTONIO -

A pedestrian was recovering Friday after being hit by a car Thursday night.

The accident happened just before 9 p.m. on the city's northeast side in the 1300 block of Austin Highway.

Officers say the man was crossing the highway, when a car stopped to let him pass.

When he didn't cross, the car sped up and the man stepped in front of it.

He was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center with a broken arm.
