Police say truck left scene after accident

SAN ANTONIO -

A man was hospitalized after San Antonio police said he fell off the side of a pickup truck outside a North Side bar early Sunday morning.

Police said a 48-year-old man jumped onto the side railing of the truck and then the driver sped off around 2:30 a.m. outside the Wild West country bar on Highway 281 and Evans Road.

Police are not sure what caused the man to jump onto the truck and have not located the driver.

Police hope to interview several people who were reportedly outside the bar at the time of the incident.

The victim was taken to SAMMC in critical condition.
