A man is dead and police now looking for the hit-and-run driver who killed him.

Investigators say 41 year-old Alejandro Nieves had gotten out of his car on I-10 at the Roland Ave. exit just after 2 a.m. Sunday.

They say a driver then hit and killed Nieves, but did not stop.

The victim died at the scene.

Police are now searching for the driver who hit him.
