A 19-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning at the intersection of East Sonterra Boulevard and Sigma Road on the city's North Side.

Police said the man was traveling on Sonterra at 6 a.m., when his Ford Focus hit another car and lost control. He then hit a fire hydrant and a traffic light pole.

The car ended up on its side and firefighters had to extract the victim out of his car. The man died at the scene.

No one in the other car was injured.
