A man accused of assaulting police then escaping from the hospital after his arrest has been re-captured.
Jimmy Ray Owen, 32, who goes by the nickname “Oklahoma,” was arrested on Sunday after leading Bulverde police on a chase in a stolen truck.
During the chase, he allegedly rammed a Bulverde police patrol car and a Comal County Sheriff's Office patrol truck.
The chase ended when he crashed into a third car.
Officers found cocaine and a semi-automatic handgun in the truck.
Owen was transported to a hospital in Stone Oak for treatment after the crash.
He then escaped from the hospital.
The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force tracked him in a hotel room Tuesday and arrested him.
Owen is now back at the hospital but under the watch of law enforcement officers.
The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force says Owen is an active member of the Aryan Brotherhood gang.
He's being charged with aggravated assault against a public servant but could face additional charges as well.
