Man shot by girlfriend for talking with other woman

A man was allegedly shot by his girlfriend on the East Side because he spoke to another woman, San Antonio police say.

Investigators believe the man was shot Sunday around 11 a.m. at a home on Delmar Street, but he did not report the shooting until he showed up at the hospital hours later.

Police said the 47-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. He told investigators his jealous girlfriend became upset after he told her he was talking to another woman. Police have not released an update on his condition.

The victim's girlfriend was detained but police have not announced what charges she may face.
