A man who police say was gunned down late Sunday night has been identified as Juan Ramirez, 25..
Ramirez was shot after a fight over a woman turned violent, police said.
Investigators said two men got into an argument in the 2700 block of Commerce and Zarzamora Street.
One of the men drove around the block, came back with a gun, approached the victim and fired into his vehicle, police said.
Ramirez was shot in the head, police said. He drove a short distance before crashing his car into a fence in front of a house, where Lewis Asmore lives.
"We just heard a big old boom and my wife came and told me that there was a car in the yard," Asmore said.
Asmore said it was shocking to see Ramirez in his front yard, but what really bothered him was what police said led up to the shooting -- a fight over a woman.
"That’s too far. That’s too far," Asmore said. "He didn't have to shoot that boy in the head. Not like that he didn't. It's not worth it."
From his front yard, Asmore watched the pain that the death caused to Ramirez' loved ones.
"I seen the reaction of family members when they were across the street over there. It really hurt them," he said.
Police said they know who the suspected shooter is, but an arrest was not immediately made.
Details of what led up to the argument were unknown.
