Mathew Ivery accused of posing as UPS delivery man, pepper spraying resident
Stone Oak resident Mathew Ivery, 30, charged with burglary
Stone Oak resident Mathew Ivery, 30, is accused of posing as a UPS delivery man and attacking another man with pepper spray.
An arrest affidavit stated that the victim reported the incident Tuesday, telling San Antonio police he answered a knock on his door from what he believed was a UPS worker.
Instead, he said he was blasted with pepper spray by a suspect, later identified as Ivery, the affidavit stated.
The victim said the bogus delivery man then forced his way inside his apartment, where they engaged in a brief struggle.
He said he was eventually able to break free and run outside where he screamed for help.
The attacker ran away, but police said the victim was able to identify Ivery from a photo lineup.
Ivery faces a charge of burglary with the intent to commit assault.
