A case of mistaken identity might have led to a westside late night stabbing, and the victim is now in critical condition.
Police say the man walked in the 200 block of Pendleton around 10:45 Saturday.
They say a group of people approached and began talking to the man.
But they called him by someone else's name, and when he didn't respond someone in the group stabbed him multiple times, investigators say.
The attackers took off and the victim managed to get to a house for help.
Police say they're now searching for them.
EMS took the stabbing victim to SAMMC in critical condition.
