SAN ANTONIO -

Heavy rain and some hail made its way across parts of San Antonio and more showers may be on the way Wednesday.

The National Weather Service says there is a 30 to 40 percent chance of showers in San Antonio mainly between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday.

KSAT Weather Authority Meteorologist Mike Osterhage says temperatures will be cooler because of the rain. Mike says expect a high of 68 with a low around 50.

Tuesday's storms brought about 1.20 inches of much needed rain at the airport and close to 1.70 inches south of downtown San Antonio. Severe thunderstorm watches were in effect until 11 p.m in many parts of South Texas.

CPS Energy reported several outages during Tuesday night's storms. As of 6 a.m. Wednesday, there were only 42 reported outages affecting more than 600 customers.
