A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Interstate 35 on the city's Southwest Side on Wednesday morning.
Police said the motorcyclist, identified as Roberto Jose Hernandez, 25, clipped a pickup truck and crashed.
Hernandez, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the helmet was attached to the seat.
"The witness said that the motorcycle moved around him at a high rate of speed and cut the lane real quick. Apparently he didn't see the truck in front of him," Sgt. Bobby Bradley said.
The truck driver lost control of his vehicle and rolled onto the access road near Southwest Military Drive.
The driver was taken to Southwest General Hospital with minor injuries.
The northbound lanes of the interstate, including the access road, were closed for a couple of hours while police investigated the fatality.
