A motorcyclist who lost control of his cycle Thursday night was run over by at least two passing vehicles.
Witnesses said the biker managed to lay down his motorcycle on US 281 South just past Encino Rio. He was then hit at least twice.
Those drivers and others stopped to check on the man. He was killed instantly.
Police don't believe speed was a factor. They did say the lack of lighting in that area might have made it difficult for drivers to avoid the downed motorcyclist.
Police had no information on the motorcyclist's identity. They said a helmet was found near the scene but officers were not sure if he was wearing it at the time of the accident.
