A suspect is in custody and a stolen truck recovered after DPS , Comal Co. and SAPD officers chased that suspect down.

DPS says the chase started when Comal Co. officers spotted the suspect in the stolen Ford F-250 pick-up at a Lowe's store in New Braunfels Sunday morning.

They started to follow and the suspect started to run.

DPS joined that chase as it reached 80 to 100 miles an hour and stretched for dozens of miles down I-35 to FM 78 and Rittiman.

SAPD says its officers joined the chase as the suspect drove back onto 35 North, then went 410 West and sped through traffic before finally stopping at 410 and Hwy 151.

DPS says they caught the suspect there, and they say he apparently stopped only because the truck ran out of gas.

They say the chase started after Comal Co. officers spotted the suspect and truck fitting the description of a case from Hays Co.
