A possible person of interest is under investigation in Monday's "stranger danger" incident involving a student at Eisenhower Middle School in the 8200 block of Blanco Raod.

George Castaneda, the police chief for the Northeast Independent School District, said he has turned over the case to San Antonio Police, as well as another unrelated alleged case near Churchill High School, a short distance from the middle school.

Castaneda said he has increased patrols at both schools.

He said in the Eisenhower case, the student provided descriptions of the vehicle and the man who tried to lure her into his vehicle claiming he was an undercover police officer.

The chief said if SAPD has enough evidence, there may be an arrest in that case.

However, he said the Churchill student was unable to see whoever approached from behind, allegedly touching her inappropriately before fleeing.

Even still in the Churchill case, Castaneda said, "We're still looking into it. We'll still be scouring the area for any suspicious activity."
