Police: Gang dispute leads to fatal shooting

SAN ANTONIO -

Police say a man was fatally shot early Thursday morning after a dispute that started inside a Northwest Side night club.

The 23-year-old victim, who was shot as many as three times, was found dead in a car that came to a stop at Fredericksburg Road and Magic Drive.

Two other people were treated for gunshot wounds.

Police said the victims and shooters are members of rival gangs.

Police said the trouble began around 2:30 a.m. between the gang members at Graham Central Station night club.

Investigators said all of the people involved then got into cars and began heading north on Fredericksburg Road. Shots were fired once they were about a half mile away, police said.

The vehicle carrying the three wounded people then jumped a curb, turned around to head south on Fredericksburg and came to a stop near Magic Drive.

Police did not release any information on the suspects or their vehicle. No arrests had been made as of 6 a.m.

A stretch of Fredericksburg Road between Magic Drive and Callaghan Road was shut down during the investigation.
