New charges for man who illegally videotaped youth cheerleaders
San Antonio police: Andrew Sanchez now charged with possession of child pornography
A convicted sex offender who is accused of illegally videotaping cheerleaders at a youth competition at the Alamodome is facing more charges.
Andrew Sanchez III is now charged with possession of child pornography, according to an arrest affidavit.
Sanchez was arrested at the Alamodome on Feb. 10 after parents noticed him recording the competition and alerted an off-duty San Antonio police officer.
The officer questioned Sanchez and determined he had no children or reason to be at the event. Sanchez was taken into custody and his camera was confiscated.
During the investigation, detectives found over 25 images of an 8-year old girl on a memory card from the confiscated camera, the affidavit stated.
Sanchez was convicted of possession of child pornography in 2008.
