North East ISD: Girl walking home stopped by fake officer
Girl flees from man, alerts school officials
The North East Independent School District sent out a letter of warning to parents of students at Eisenhower Middle School on Tuesday.
The letter alerted parents about an incident that happened to a little girl on Monday afternoon.
The girl was walking home from school near Memory Lane and Patricia Street when a man in a black pickup truck stopped, asking for directions.
He wanted her to get in the truck, claiming he was an undercover officer.
Instead of falling for the trick, the girl turned around and ran home, telling her parents what happened.
After interviewing the girl and her family, NEISD's officers are investigating.
