North Side man accused of harassing woman through repeated messages
Police: Taylor Patterson, 22, agreed to leave woman alone
A final email that Taylor Patterson, 22, allegedly sent to a woman before his deployment was the last straw for San Antonio police. They arrested him Thursday on a charge of harassment.
An arrest warrant affidavit stated that the woman had previously contacted police, saying that Patterson had called her repeatedly and sent annoying emails and text messages.
The 20-year-old woman told detectives she had never had a romantic relationship with Patterson and that the contact was unwelcome, the affidavit stated.
Police said after Patterson told them he would leave the woman alone, he continued contacting her.
The affidavit stated that in the final message sent January 21, he told her his unit was deploying, and that when he comes back he hoped they’d “be on better terms.”
In the message, Patterson also allegedly told the woman, “God willing if I come back in one piece, feel free to email me at your convenience,” the affidavit stated.
He was booked into the Bexar County jail with bond set at $2,000.
