The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has released the name of the man killed after he crashed during a police chase. The victim was identified as 30-year-old Juan Longoria.
Police say Longoria's Ford Mustang was clocked at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour on Interstate 10 early Tuesday morning.
Officers tried to pull him over, but say Longoria tried to out maneuver them then lost control of his car at the Frio Street exit ramp.
Longoria crashed into the retaining wall and the curb. He was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. Longoria's passenger was not injured. Police do not know why Longoria was trying to outrun them.
