San Antonio police and the parents of a missing teen are asking for help finding a young man who hasn't been seen for nearly a week.

According to his parents, 16-year-old Erik Palomares-Ramon hasn't been seen since he left for school Wednesday morning. The teen never arrived at Robert E. Lee High School where he's a student.

Palomares-Ramon's stepfather Ray Almaguer says Erik is not involved in any gangs an has never runaway or stayed out later than expected. They are worried for his safety.

"Especially because of his bipolar and ADHD, that's the big concern is because he needs to be on his medication. Sometimes when we're together he would wander away and say I'm lost, I'm lost, and I'd tell him we're right around the corner from the store and he goes, Oh. That's our concern," said Almaguer.

Palomares-Ramon is 5 feet 11 inches and weighs 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black Converse tennis shoes and black jeans. Anyone with information is asked to call SAPD's Missing Person's Unit at 210-207-7660.
