SAN ANTONIO -

A woman was hospitalized late Monday night after she was clipped by the mirror of a passing pick-up.

The accident happened around 11 p.m. on Loop 1604 near Interstate 10 on the far East Side.

Police say the 22-year-old woman was walking on the side of the southbound lanes when it happened.

She was taken to Downtown Baptist Medical Center for treatment, but was expected to recover, San Antonio police said.

San Antonio police said the driver stopped and believe the accident was unavoidable.
